In 1923, writer and chemist Dr. Rudolf Hauschka began searching for ways to capture and preserve the healing vitality of plants. He was inspired by his interest in Anthroposophy, a philosophy based on the writings and teachings of Austrian philosopher Dr. Rudolf Steiner. In his research, Dr. Hauschka observed that the vital forces present in plants are intimately related to the rhythms of the earth and the universe as a whole.
Dr. Hauschka developed new techniques to maximize the vitality and healing qualities of plants, hand-harvesting them at sunrise when their vitality is most concentrated and processing them in accordance with nature’s own powerful rhythmic forces.

I am a nationally licensed and board certified Diplomat in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM. I graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (O.C.O.M.), receiving my Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Prior to this journey, I received my BS in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, giving me a detailed Western understanding of how our bodies function. After finishing my studies at O.C.O.M., I chose to deepen my knowledge of Eastern medicine by completing an advanced clinical internship at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, China. While there, I had the privilege of working with world renowned Doctors of Chinese Medicine, expending my knowledge of acupuncture techniques, gynecology, infertility, and herbal medicine.
My journey with Chinese medicine began with my own acupuncture experience. To put it simply, I was fascinated by my acupuncture treatments and needed to know more. Acupuncture not only relieved my chronic pain, it changed my destiny. I've always been a personal advocate for natural, holistic medicine and I was ready to answer the question "How can I help?". I love that a common side effect of acupuncture is a more peaceful, balanced state of being. When not serving my community through Chinese medicine, I love camping in yurts at the coast in the middle of winter, growing organically in my gardens, dogs and bunny's, and Italian-everything! My yoga practice stretches my body and mind and I am thankful for my inspiring teachers. I am an advocate for environmental consciousness and I support my community in any way I can.
